Today, state of Rule of Law in 🇪🇺 on EP agenda. Should be top-priority for EU, as governments in Poland, Hungary and Greece are plaguing citizens with corruption, restricting media freedom and violating fundamental rights. Why should you care and what can we do? Watch 📺👇 https://t.co/UNTQm2fKvR

RT @CommissionerHR: The scale and normalisation of #pushbacks and #humanrights violations at Europe’s borders requires urgent and concerted action by @coe governments and parliamentarians. @EU_Commission And Commissioner @JHahnEU: the same should, of course, go for Poland. If you see no possibilities, I recommend that you carefully reread the Conditionality Regulation again. (2/2) https://t.co/6IJL60scGJ

Orban won the elections, rule of law lost. Strong European support to the citizens and their rights is more needed than ever. I call upon the Commission not to finance autocracy and corruption for another four years but instead strengthen independent media and civil society.

Then, an EU led, value-based process should be launched with newly elected politicians and civil society. Discriminatory elements should be eliminated from the BiH constitution by fully implementing the ECtHR verdicts, including Sejdic-Finci.

Tineke Strik (groenlinks) tweetou :

No deal was reached at the latest EU facilitated negotiations in BiH. Now, the decision should be put in the hands of the citizens. The EU should firmly support the unconditional free and fair elections organisation, including an integrity package.

RT @PACE_News: In a unanimous vote, the Assembly has called on the @CoE's ministerial body to request that Russia "immediately withdraw from the Council of Europe" and if it does not comply, to determine the immediate possible date it would cease to be a member.
